Our facilities

Sarn Village Hall is an ideal venue for a wide variety of events, groups and celebrations. It is also the hub for community activities and local groups.


The Large Hall lends itself to larger groups and celebrations, making it ideal for wedding receptions, charity fundraisers, funeral teas or large club events and has a maximum capacity for 250 people standing or 100 seated.


​​The Small Hall is suitable for workshops, training sessions or small parties or could be used as a welcoming area as part of a larger event.


Both halls share the kitchen, ladies’ and gents’ facilities, as well as an accessible toilet.


The Hall is available for hire 7 days a week.

General Facilities
  • A large flat car park with direct access to the hall.
  • Ladies’, gentlemen’s and disabled toilet facilities.
  • Wi-Fi is available throughout the hall, and connection details can be provided on request.
  • Cleaning cupboard containing all necessary cleaning materials and equipment.
The Main Hall

A large hall suitable for holding children’s birthday parties, funeral teas, indoor bowling and other large community events such as bingo and quiz nights.  The hall can hold 150 people seated and 250 for a dance. 


  • 150 Upholstered chairs
  • 120 plastic chairs
  • 20 tables (6 feet x 2 feet)
  • 5 low tables (6 feet x 2 feet)
  • Fifteen round tables
  • White tablecloths are available for these tables at an additional charge to cover laundry costs
  • Demountable stage – for which there is an additional charge.
  • Audio and Visual Equipment: Microphones and projector kits are not at this stage supplied, but the Sarn Recreation Association has no objection to the hirer using their own equipment.

There is also a bar which can provide service for events being held in the main hall.  The bar will be run by members of the Sarn Recreation Association, so a minimum of one months’ notice is required. There is an additional charge for use of the Bar. The bar has:

  • A fridge
  • A sink
  • Glasses
  • Glass washer.


The Meeting Room

This is separate from the main hall and may be used to hold small events or accommodate small group meetings such as WI, Historical Society, Young Farmers, Yoga Classes, and Coffee Mornings.

  • 15 tables (3 feet x 2 feet)
  • 40 upholstered chairs


The Kitchen

Fully equipped kitchen with a serving hatch to both the meeting room and main hall. Equipment includes:

  • Oven and hob
  • Microwave
  • Fridge/freezer
  • Water boiler (Urns)
  • Two electric kettles
  • Crockery and cutlery for 180 persons


Note
  • The Village Hall has a maximum capacity of 250 persons standing or 150 persons if seated.
  • For Health and Safety and Insurance reasons, it is important that the maximum capacities for the rooms are not exceeded.
  • The Sarn Recreation Association accepts no responsibility for damage to vehicles or loss of contents whilst parked on the Village Hall car park.
