Groups and Activities

Sarn YFC is a small and friendly club based in the village of Sarn on the Powys/Shropshire border.

We offer a wide range of club nights, from farm tours to film night, from pizza night to arts and craft. Sarn often go on trips to places like Jump in, Ice skating and Bowling. We provide members with the chance to learn lots of new skills you may have never been able to try before and have fun whilst doing it. The county provides many opportunities to compete which Sarn actively gets involved in and being a small club everyone gets the chance to try everything. There really is something for everyone.

We meet weekly for relaxed walks suitable for all abilities – whether you’re after exercise, good company, or just some time outdoors.

The walks generally last a couple of hours and may involve some hills.

We meet in the carpark outside the Sarn Village Hall.

No special gear or booking is needed – just comfortable shoes and a smile.

If you have dogs, bring them along too!

Sarn Bowling Club is situated in Sarn, near to the Sarn Village Hall and Holy Trinity Church, Sarn.

The Bowls Club have been members of the Montgomery Mixed League for a number of years having won the League and League Cup numerous times. We also have a successful Ladies Team who have succeeded in winning the League as recently as 2024.

The Mixed Team has won the Terry Griffiths Trophy a number of times.

We play a number of friendly games during the season as well as competitions matches.
